OK, gonna drop links here to my newest stuff Official Multidistro.com Rescue-Install-Kit-CD-USB and RescuePuppy49 CD-USB RescuePuppy49 is a part of the Rescue-Install-Kit Plus a new Tinycore-2.1 Dragon themed kit too.
I removed microcore, and clonezilla(pmagic has clonezilla) and replaced browserpuppy with my remaster rescue puppy
It includes 390mb it will extract to a folder named "newcdusb"
tinycore-2.1(very loud OSS stereo on aol radio!) rescuepuppy49(added xfprot av, dd rescue, testdisk, photorec and rocks-n-diamonds game too)(remaster script in /my-documents folder) partedmagic-4.3( added flash module)(no sound) clamav livecd non-x netbootcd-3.1.1 install any major distro plop bootmanager boots usb/cd/hd
goes on cd-r/cd-rw/fat16,fat32,ext2,ext3 usb or hd all are frugal and all will boot on almost any medium (cd, usb,hd)
there are 2 scripts in /boot folder to create a isolinux-bootable iso image to burn to cd
all menu.lst(s), isolinux.cfg/syslinux.cfg already setup plug-n-play
more info here, including a script to make it into a grub-bootable stage2_eltorito iso image! ( http://multidistro.com/downloads/rescue-install-info.txt )
Download here, about 390mb extracted ( http://multidistro.com/downloads/pupz/Rescue-Install-Kit.tar.gz )
Download seperate RescuePuppy49 or TinyCore-2.1-Dragon ISO images they both include everything to go on fat16/32 or ext2/3 usb too! ( http://multidistro.com/downloads/pupz/RescuePuppy49.iso ) ( http://multidistro.com/downloads/pupz/TinyCore-2.1-Dragon.iso )
PLEASE post here if you have any problems or questions-
you can choose any "dragon" desktop from syslinux/isolinux/grub menu at boot also, use framebuffer for older pc's/lappys "vga=788" "xsetup", "xvesa" stuff like that
ALSO! if using isolinux cd or syslinux usb, at boot you will get boot message;PRESS Enter to goto main menu!
Notes/edit You may have to edit menu.lst/isolinux.cfg/syslinux.cfg files for your usb or cd device!!
Example, I set it up to look for sda1 usb and hdc cdrom your cdrom may be hdd, so edit accordingly your usb may be sde1, sdb1, etc, edit accordingly this is mostly for tinycore-2.1
**EDIT I mistakenly mis-labeled syslinux.cfg for browserpuppy menu but it goes to rescuepuppy menu just edit syslinux.cfg to say rescuepuppy instead
