Hey everyone, my name's Bryan; the creator of MultiDistro.com and the sole Operator behind this site and the Linux MultiDistro's I make freely for you.
I have limited experience in HTML, programming, and Linux in General.
My Philosophy and Goals of this project are simple-
1) To provide various Linux Distro's for CD/USB/DVD so that the end user can have many distro's on a single CD/DVD/USB, thus saving the end user Money. I.E., One CD costs less than four or five...
2) To represent the Individual Distro's unique flavor and abiltiies. This means that I will try to stay as close as possible to the original distro's boot screen, help screens and include all options. Basically, I want each one to boot and play just as if you put that distro's CD/DVD/USB in your computer. For example, when you choose Parted Magic from the main menu, it boots you into the parted magic livecd bootscreen(ULTKCD).
I have just discovered "how" to do this by using a sub-menu system using menu.c32/vesamenu.c32 and editing/creating .cfg files. The next release of ULTK (UltimateLinuxToolKit) will have this new menu system. Version "4.22" of ULTK should be ready 05/05/09.
3) To streamline my various multidistro "kits" into a functional cadre of target-specific tools. I.E. To have fixed "types" of multidistro's for differing purposes, like rescue/recovery and others for live desktop distro's.
All this stuff is evolving each day as I learn more.... ;D

Nice stuff, Bryan! As you know, I've been following your work for a short time, as well as testing some of it. I currently have several of your works on cd, as well as a couple on usb stix. My current stix are Slack4Christians & PupPak v1.0, both of which work just fine on my netbooks. I keep the cd's for the desktop machine. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I figured out how to use the wifi in s4c, which made things a whole lot better for me. I hope you are planning to put a hdd/ssd installer option in version 13.x for those that want to do so. By the way....sorry to see you disappear from lq this morning. Amazing how petty folks can be when it comes to free speech & personal opinions.....73 de ax25nut

hey ax25nut!
Well, I put my foot in my mouth at LQ; I could have my account unsuspended, and may. but too many folks there are God-haters; you know.
Anyway, I am finishing up the 13/current release as-yet-unnamed Christian slackware distro
I crammed in there stellarium, xastir, fldigi telnet bibletime alkitab bible study bibledesktop and firebible firefox plugin I also added Pyroom
it has a testing hdd installer, I used it and it works good, but my grub1 skills you have to setup grub manually, lilo's easier
it should be done "cooking" by mornin Its probably bigger than 700MB CD, so do you have a usb?

I saw what was going on in lq. What a hoot. Way too much political correctness and humanism in general these days. I'd share my thoughts regarding illegal border crossings, but I probably shouldn't post them publicly. My family/friends think I'm way to radical as it is, and stuff like that can come back years away and bite you in the butt in ways you never dreamed of. I've noticed that the now-obviously idiotic mayor of Columbus, Ohio (Coleman) has banned all offical travel to Arizona because of their new law. Now THAT is an unconstitutional act for which he also has no authority. What idiots we have in politics these days.
Concerning the size of the distro, I won't have any problems. I have a sweet little usb dvd drive I got for my Acer, and it works just great on everything else including the Asus EeePC I just got at Dayton Hamvention. I've posted about my installation of Puppy on that (full, not frugal) but yesterday I couldn't resist trying out the full slackware 12.2 on it, which I'm using on my desktop machine as I type this out. As for your grub skills vs lilo.....well, I'm just the opposite there. I used to love lilo back in the 90's, but ever since I've gotten spoiled by the new-fangled "live" cd's I've come to really appreciate grub. Haven't tried grub2 as yet, and it makes me nervous just thinking about it. Doesn't every "new" thing have that effect somehow? Also, I'm shocked to see how you've accomodated my favorite apps on this new one! I'd tip my hat to you if I wore such things. Thank you.
As for getting your account back on lq, we ARE called to be witnesses of what we've seen and heard of Him who we serve, and it's rather difficult to do that if you're not there. That will eventually temper a lot of what we think and say as christians, as our tounges are VERY unruly, ya' know! "Behold how great a matter a little fire kindleth!" comes to mind here....but we are not perfected yet, so we are still learning, more or less according to the grace that works in us. I hope that doesn't offend anyone, as it's not meant to. Just an observation. You might not want this posted publicly, come to think of it, but I have no way of contacting you privately. I have something non-related I'd like to share (bible-based), but this is not the forum for that. Thanks again, and I'll probably fiddle with some other stuff on that netbook before I'm done.
Grace and peace

Gotem', Bryan....I hope you get what I sent you ok. I'm currently downloading the latest release (AOGOS) and I'll see what I can do with it. I got a 2gb ram stick today for this EeePC today and installed it. I want to upgrade the onboard SSD also soon as I can. This one is much more hacker-friendly than my Acer Aspire One. I want three or four distros on this cute little toy. One will have to be Puppy, of course, but I want something Slackware-based also, or maybe Backtrack. Hard to tell, and depends on whether I can actually get the upgrade I want. I'm going to fiddle with AOG for a bit when I get it all downloaded and unzipped. How much room did it take on the drive, by the way once it was installed? Slackware took up a good bit of the 8gb ssd since I installed everything on the dvd. Probably un-necessary, but cool. I remember why I used to like lilo....I didn't have to do anything! That boot screen is so simple and cool. I gotta' wonder if it would pick up the other distros if I had them on here. I don't think it did well on my desktop machine, which is why I now favor grub. I may post my grub files (menu.lst) once I'm done for the benefit of others. What else is a place like this for but to share our goodies!
Grace and peace to all your house
