Despite having filled the default user and passwords during the installation, that info seems to be lost as: the sytem boots directly to the desktop without a user login: on terminal, update manager and synaptic, the accepted adiministrator password is still "guest"

hello again this is an issue with Remastersys backup please see here multidistro.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nu&thread=31the best option is to 1) logout of "guest" account 2) at GDM login screen; login in as root, password toor 3) open the Users&Groups app from fbpanel menu and setup a new user; remember to give any permissions ,etc 4) look at and edit /etc/sudoers and give your new user at least username ALL=(ALL) ALL 5) logout of root and now login using your new username/password then start the install; optionally erasing the "guest" account before installing if you already installed it; just do as above does that work?
