OK I found that the new nfluxos slackware and arch builds were kinda broken as far as the usb persistency was concerned so, I recompiled the kernels and with Ritchies help at Slax forum also fixed some things with linux-live...
Now, in booting you may see messages like cant umount /dev/loop9, etc these messages are harmless and are due to how the new linux live is trying to work with the new squashfs 4.0.
I have included a README in new slack/arch July 4th editions concerning this!

Can't keep up with the speed of change around here. Guess I won't be downloading the iso I never got after all. I am busy not getting the latest right now, the nasty network slowed down to the usual crawl after starting off at usable speed. One little thing however, I appear to be failing to d/l a zip file for Archj4 of 537.2MB using Uget, whereas the multidistro d/l page says it is 545MB. Is there an obvious reason? It would be really sad to get a messed-up version again.
